A Whole-Home Remodel with Classic Kentucky Character
This home already had the kind of character you want to keep. The goal was not to strip it down and start over, but to make it work better.
Tradeworks Remodeling expanded the back of the home, opened up the main living areas, and created a stronger connection between the kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor space. Now the home feels bigger, brighter, and easier to move through, while still keeping the traditional details that give it warmth.
The finished spaces are full of custom touches: arched openings, built-in storage, a coffered ceiling, a brick fireplace, a large kitchen island, and a dark, comfortable bar room made for gathering. It is a remodel that feels updated without feeling like it belongs in a different house.
Dive into the Details
Rear Addition
We expanded the back of the home to give the family more room where they use it most. This addition made the new main living layout possible.
Open Main Living Area
We opened up the connection between the kitchen, living room, and dining spaces so the home feels easier to move through and better for gathering.
Custom Kitchen
The kitchen was a major highlight of this remodel. The island, cabinetry, lighting, and finishes all work together to make it feel warm, polished, and practical.
Coffered Ceiling
We added ceiling detail in the living room to give the space more depth and a more finished feel.
Arched Openings
The arches became one of the defining details of the home. They help the spaces feel connected without making everything feel like one big room.
Built-In Storage Areas
Custom built-ins added more storage and display space while making the rooms feel more intentional.
Bar Room
This room brought a completely different mood to the project. Dark cabinetry, display shelves, brass details, and comfortable seating made it a standout entertaining space.
Bathroom Finishes
The bathrooms gave us room to add personality in smaller spaces: brass fixtures, patterned tile, custom vanities, and color without going overboard.
Bedroom Refresh
The bedroom stayed calm and comfortable, with layered finishes that fit the rest of the home without feeling busy.
Bringing the Whole Home Together
What makes this project work is how connected everything feels. The addition gave the home more room, but the details are what made that new space feel like it belonged there all along.
The arches, ceiling beams, fireplace, cabinetry, tile, lighting, and outdoor living areas all carry the same level of care. Nothing feels like a one-off update. Each space has its own personality, but the home still reads as one complete remodel.
